A Japanese Meiji Period silver Cigarette Box, of rectangular form, the plain body with lift off lid decorated with bamboo and signed in gilt lower left, the front with military presentation inscription 'From Vice Admiral Nawa Imperial Japanese Navy to Colonel C.D.Bruce Shanghai July 23rd 1913', the underside with 'Jungin' silver mark and one other set of character marks and bearing a former Christie's lot label, the whole with wood lined interior, 21.5cm x 12.3cm x 6cm.
