An antique Japanese porcelain Tray, decorated in a deep brown ground with floral enamels, black ground border, 40.5cm x 33cm, together with a lobed Dish and a Plate of similar palette, also with a quantity of other Japanese porcelain to comprise two Cups and Saucers, Sucrier, Plate, etc. and a Vietnamese ogee shaped Bowl, etc. (a lot)
Provenance - The Damien Parsons Collection. The property of the late John Damien Parsons, an East Devon architect and husband of poet Patricia Beer, whose interest in Asian Art was sparked after he inherited a few pieces of Chinese porcelain from his grandfather. Over many decades Parsons continued to add to the collection, sourcing Chinese and Japanese Ceramics and Works of Art from exhibitions and other collections. Pieces from the Parsons Collection were recently exhibited at Mount Edgcumbe.
