A large Antique painted wood military travelling Chest, belonging to 'Lieut. Col. R.L.Vance', with old 'BOMBAY' travelling sticker and 'I.M.S' written onto the top and side, lead lined interior and metal bound corners and sides, W 91 cm x H 52 cm x D 54 cm.
Provenance; Col. R.L Vance RAMC (Indian Medical Service) serving in India and Tibet in the early 20thC, up until the 1930's, by family tradition having received items as personal gifts from grateful patients.
