Natural History, Paleontology and Minerals; A Mosasaur Jaw in Matrix, Late Cretaceous Period, approx 66-100 million years old, with ten teeth visible, bearing label citing original as Morocco, matrix overall dimensions 16in (40.5cm) x 7½in (19cm). Mosasaurs were one of the largest marine creatures to have ever lived and they died out during the mass extinction event at the end of the Cretateous Period, Mosasaurs did not have permanent teeth but continually shed and replaced them throughout their lives.
