A Tibetan copper, silver and gilt Gau (or G'au), the portable shrine of traditional form, the central window with Tsha Tsha inside, probably late 19thC/early 20thC, all unmarked, silver tested, 18cm high.
Provenance; Col. R.L Vance RAMC (Indian Medical Service) serving in India and Tibet in the early 20thC, up until the 1930's, by family tradition having received items as personal gifts from grateful patients.
