Jaillot (Alexis Hubert); 'La Mer Mediterranée Divisee en ses Principales Parties ou Mers...,  engraved double-page folio map after N. Sanson, Paris, c.1692, with contemporary outline colouring, additional title in French above the map, approx. 590mm x 885 mm, unframed, Jaillot went into partnership with Sanson's sons and from 1669, re-engraved and often enlarged many of Sanson's original maps. This example was published in Jaillot's monumental 'Atlas Nouveau', rarely seen on the market, condition as per images. 
Provenance; The Alan Winning Collection of Antiquarian Maps, Books and Atlases. Beginning in the 1970’s with an interest in the 19th Century development of the railway network and the County Maps of this period that charted it, Alan expanded his academic interest into good early printed maps, town plans, travel guides, books and atlases and has been adding to his collection over the past 50 years.
