The valuations take place in the My Sanctuary room at Monks Yard every fourth Thursday of the month from 9:30am to 12 noon. The venue is just off the A358 junction with the A303, it offers free onsite parking plus an onsite café, making a visit convenient.

Liz Chilcott says, “We have experienced an increase in enquiries from South Somerset and Taunton so decided it would be useful for local people to have an opportunity to have items valued nearby. We held our first event in March, with our Senior Valuer Jennifer Bell and Valuer Barnaby Willis on hand to give expert valuations. The service is provided free and visitors aren’t obliged to sell with Chilcotts – although of course we hope they will!” 

The type of item that can be valued can be anything from jewellery, watches and coins to good antiques such as clocks, ceramics and artwork, or collectors items including medals, model trains, toys and books.  

This valuation service is also offered in Barnstaple and Tiverton, as well as our main offices in Honiton. For those unable to get to a valuation event, online valuations are also offered, and for full house contents or very large pieces, a member of the team will visit the property.
